Common questions about using PromptDock AI.
In the Template Picker, scroll down and tap Create Custom Template. Enter a name, system instruction, and up to three input fields. Tap Create Template to save it.
Open the Template Picker and tap Export. This opens the iOS share sheet with a .json file you can save to Files, AirDrop to another device, or send via email.
Tap Import in the Template Picker and choose a .json file exported from PromptDock AI. Templates with names that already exist will be skipped automatically.
All data — templates, prompt history, saved input sets, and field suggestions — is stored locally on your device using iOS's standard UserDefaults. Nothing is sent to any server.
Open the Template Picker, find your custom template, and tap the trash icon on the right side of the card. Built-in templates cannot be deleted.
Yes. PromptDock AI generates structured text prompts that work with any AI assistant. The Open ChatGPT button is a shortcut for ChatGPT, but you can copy any prompt and paste it into the tool of your choice.
The tutorial appears automatically on first launch. You can view it again at any time by tapping the ? button in the top-right corner of the app.
No. PromptDock AI requires no account, login, or sign-up. Everything works entirely on-device.
